Today's Homework

Welcome back to the start of the last term! Let's get straight back to work:

  1. Daily Maths 1 & 2
  2. Spelling sentences (don't write in the spaces, make a list underneath)
  3. Find out what kinds of forces there are - we talked about gravity and friction; what else?
  4. Reading - this includes getting your reading record signed and thinking of a question!

The Laws of Motion are:
Three laws proposed by Sir Isaac Newton to define the concept of a force and describe motion, used as the basis of classical mechanics.
The definitions are:

First Law:an object that is not moving or moving in a constant speed in a straight line, will stay like that until something pushes it or blocks its path.

2nd Law:Force is equal to mass times acceleration.

3rd Law:For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The laws of motion are three physical laws that form the basis for classical mechanics. They have been expressed in several different ways over nearly three centuries.
