Vulcanology
You may have noticed that quite a few of the teachers and students are not in school at the moment. Some of them are stuck in Europe, unable to fly back because of the enormous volcanic eruption in Iceland! That's right, a volcano has exploded, sending a cloud of ash and dust miles into the sky and this cloud has spread across almost all of Europe. Although we can't really see this cloud, planes cannot fly through it because it can cause their engines to fail.
