ITGA!

It's That Girl Again! Thea came up with the goods once more to identify the mystery object of the week before anyone else, even correcting my mistake in calling the mystery man Harry Webb.

This is the man I meant

but this is the man whose name I first gave

A bonus point if anyone can tell me who the second man is. Not you Mr Howe!

We had a couple of other answers as well so thanks go to Ahmed and Youssef. Faster next time chaps!

Yay, I know who they both are! I'm going to be first and win! They are... Oh, bother. I've just noticed I'm not allowed to say who they are. 'S not fair. Sniff.

Oh go on then, if you're going to sulk. Who are they?

I think the first one's Captain Matthew Webb, the first person to swim across the English Channel (La Manche if you're French) from England to France in 1875. It took him more than 21 hours. What a swim! The second picture, I think, is Sir Cliff Richard, who was called Harry Rodger Webb when he was born in 1940, but changed his name to Cliff Richard in 1980.
