The distance that is greater is the distance from the ground to the deepest part of the ocean. The deepest part of the ocean is in the Pacific Ocean which is 35,800 ft. While the distance from the ground to the highest mountain is 29,029 ft.

The deepest ocean from top to bottom is greater than the tallest mountain from top to bottom.I'm not really sure about that?

The distance from sea level to the deepest part of the ocean (Challenger Deep: 10,924 meters deep) is greater than Mount Everest: 8,848 meters above sea level (world's highest mountain).
